Lego Serious Play as a visual method evaluator of educational practices linked to contemporary art

The present research focuses on the need to develop evaluation tools according to the way of understanding the new educational paradigm and jointly respond to the specific needs of Art Education. In this respect, Lego Serious Play (LSP) method, in addition to its visual character, allows channeling experiences based on praxis and generating stories based on the visual analogies that emanate from their constructions. For its testing, a session has been designed where the students, from the Minor of Educational Innovation of the UPV/EHU Teacher Training Degree, reflect on the artistic experience lived during the execution of the collaborative installation The image of sound, developed in The framework of the project Beyond the Classroom: Spaces for learning in school. The extracted stories allow to visualize experiences experienced in the creation process, highlighting the convenience of using visual methods, close to the nature of art, in the evaluation of these practices. The conclusions prioritize the use of the image in the field of research, in an educational system in which students become the axis of the teaching-learning process. © 2018 Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
