About

Krishna leads NIFPlay's documentary and narrative initiatives that explore the transformative role of play in human development, learning, wellbeing, creativity, and connection.

She is the creator of The Play Instinct, a documentary series developed in partnership with NIFPlay and Filasky Films that examines play as a fundamental human instinct and one of the most powerful forces shaping how we learn, heal, innovate, and thrive. Through storytelling, research, and cultural exploration, her work seeks to elevate play from a childhood activity to a lifelong force for human flourishing.

Krishna's professional background spans nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, organizational strategy, and social impact. She has served as CEO of the San Diego Children's Discovery Museum, President of the San Diego Women's Foundation, and currently advises mission-driven organizations through her consulting practice, Bubble Think. Across her career, she has been drawn to questions of human potential, belonging, imagination, and what helps individuals and communities flourish.
A lifelong believer in the power of curiosity, Krishna hopes to spark a broader conversation about the role of play in creating healthier, more connected, and more creative lives.

When she is not telling stories about play, Krishna is living one — on the yoga mat and in daily meditation, where she has discovered that stillness, it turns out, is its own kind of play.
