Roberta Michnick Golinkoff, PhD

From her earliest research on infant language acquisition, Roberta Golinkoff has been passionate about translating child development science for parents and policymakers. She has written 16 books and hundreds of publications, including the award-winning Einstein Never Used Flash Cards (2003). In 2005 she co-organised the Play=Learning conference at Yale with Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, producing the influential book Play=Learning (2006). Her Playful Learning Landscapes initiative installs play-based learning activities in parks and public spaces. She directs the University of Delaware Child's Play, Learning, and Development Laboratory and is a co-author of the American Academy of Pediatrics report on play.
